This is my second try. I got a bunch of seeds from a hobbyist and put them on LECA first. Most of them got washed away, and those that stayed, died a pretty quick death. I had to try a different method.

Here are the tiny leaf pullings of my Pinguicula agnata and P. moranensis.

I've never seen this before in my life! Fuzzy black petals? Chalice like stem? Very cool and very mysterious.

Refuses to give me more leaves but at least I get pretty flowers 🤷‍♀️

Too much water / not enough water / something else?

I've had this plant for a while in other countries, and it was always very easy going. But after the last time I moved the sapling I took with me has started struggling.

Semi-hydro is so popular now, but everyone says to replace the water every few days because it runs out of oxygen. Coming from the aquarium/pond world I thought, "what if I put an extra bubble thing+pump into the pot?"

This Hoya is growing like crazy, but I noticed these black marks on the vine. It also had some mold growth on the pon. I repotted with fresh pon into a pot that, I’m hoping, will allow better airflow. The roots looked really good. Do I need to do any additional treatment?

I have most of my plants in hydro, but especially my carnivorous plants need (Sphagnum) moss to grow.

This is the second time in 3 months it has bloomed from the same peduncle. One of my favourite blooms so far, and no scent! :)

I don't have much experience in growing carnivorous plants. This is my NOID hybrid Nepenthes, who is my test subject. I try to raise my CPs as vegetarians mostly ;)

As you can see on the title image, this Phal has no velamen left.

I got my firefly petunias from light.bio around a month or so ago and they're now just starting to take off. This picture was taken in a dark room with no windows, though I'm sure the phone brightened it up a bit. They aren't as bright as I was imagining, but I still find them neat.

I say this about all my plants but this is one of my favourites, it's just so stinkin' pretty! Look at these rosey leaves!

No idea what's going on / it's the first time its flowers have ever looked this way. I personally think it's kind of neat.

The camera flash really makes it pop! Had this one for about a year and a half now.

A maybe dead orchid. Half the stems are green. Some of the leaves are dark green. We're aren't sure if we can save her but we don't want to throw her out, if there's a chance. Any help appreciated!

The Bromeliad is a longtime resident of this window, but the Ground Cherry seed fell into the pot accidentally and started growing. Guess I'll have more delicious ground cherries soon!

Hi everyone, Recently I noticed these little insects on one of my orchids. So far I tried getting rid of them by removing them manually followed by liberal application of soap water. Now they appeared on a second plant so apparently I was not successful.

How do I get our money tree to look or grow more like the ones you see when you search for them?

Have had this one for like 6 months and finally got it to bloom :)

Does anybody know why this is happening on my philodendron billietiae? Most of the roots have grown down toward the reservoir, except for this one. The plant seems pretty happy and is working on a new leaf.

I think I've had this plant since 2018 and it just started growing a stalk for the first time a week or so ago. This afternoon I noticed a sweet scent in the day room where it lives and saw that it started blooming! I didn't even know it could do that and only learned the name of the plant after I saw the new stalk growing out of it. The house smells so nice!!

Last year I managed to fertilize a single flower on my cherimoya tree, which is a bit difficult as the flowers are female in the morning and turn male in the evening. This year I will hopefully be able to have the tree in a south-facing window. So I'm hoping for proper fruiting next year.

I’m still a novice when it comes to houseplants. I’ve had this baby philodendron florida ghost for a little over a month, and we’ve been having some issues.

Hey there! Hoping for some help. I've never really owned plants, but my best friend is moving out of state and gave me 6 plants she didn't want to throw away. 4 of them are looking pretty rough. They are a ponytail palm, a monstera, a euphorbia Trigona, and mystery plant. They are all getting what I think is medium light? In my apartment, which has a north facing sliding glass door and windows, and they have all been being watered once a week. They also have been getting "miracle grow tropical house plant food" once a week, except for the euphorbia which has just been getting water. Any tips to try and save these lil guys?

About two years ago I read up on chitin as a possible pest control/deterrent as I was always struggling with mealybugs and thrips, especially in spring, and buying IPMs was getting quite expensive.

Germinated these from seed, this is the first leaf to emerge. They’re generally slow but fun to watch!

That's...pretty much it. They must be kept in non-porous pots and trays (glass or plastic), water TDS must be below 50 ppm and keep water in the tray constantly. They will even bloom with gorgeous little flowers. No fertilizer ever, just bugs.

Left to right. It's mother-in-law tongue, dried eucalyptus, big boston fern, and a split-leaf philadendron getting some roots! 😃

She has such cute leaves! She was my first ever hoya.
